Dear Folks at Lake Travis Houseboat Rentals:
Wow! Thank you, thank you, thank you! My family and friends had the best time. I’m not sure what I liked most – swimming, going off the slide, fishing, grilling hotdogs & hamburgers or relaxing in the hot tub. I had a very stressful couple of months and this was the answer to get rejuvenated. It’s amazing how being out on the water sooths the soul. The best part was it felt like my own home but on the water. The kitchen was awesome and the boat was so huge that it fit all of us comfortably. At night, the kids loved the satellite TV while the adults lounged on the upper deck and star gazed. We had such a great time we definitely will be doing it again!

I’d never have thought it, what with other boats and skiers on the lake, but staying on Dream Catcher is one of the most relaxing things on this earth. There is something deeply satisfying about being on the water, as opposed to a house near the water. It must have to do with the gentle rocking. The mornings are still, the breezes and birds are your companions, with the occasional fish looking for breakfast. The fishing is unbelievable: bring your pole and a big net and see for yourself. With this boat, you can easily switch gears, gas up the jet skis, fire up the stereo and BBQ and move into full party mode. At night or if it rains, the onboard satellite TV and DVDs keep everyone entertained, and there is always the hot tub. Swimming off the back with the slide is a favorite, as well as kayaking around on your own. Since it sleeps ten, large families or even 2-3 families are well accommodated. One interesting aspect is the renewed togetherness fostered by living on a boat. Too often we all head for the four corners of a house. Houseboating encourages group activities and togetherness, a welcome return to the old days. This boat is outfitted luxuriously and you will be spoiled.

The Dream Catcher is a wonderful ship. When we rented it, we essentially had to do no work to set it up and were able to enjoy it to the fullest extent since the hired captain and his crew took care of everything. It was an amazing experience, being able to enjoy the sunset, listen to music on the deck, and just drift away into the night on the lake. Truly unforgettable. Let’s not forget the incredible swimming, as the boat has and a built in water slide. We thankfully decided to bring our fishing equipment out on the boat and boy, I tell ya, some pretty good fishing can be done right off the side of the boat. If you ever decide to go on a vacation in Austin or are simply interested in renting out a houseboat, check to see if the Dream Catcher is available because it is definitely a top of the line machine with a great crew, and, it will provide for the most fun.
