Lake Travis water levels are rising!

The very welcome winter rains in Central Texas have led to the largest increase in lake levels — three feet at Lake Travis in five days — since Tropical Storm Hermine brought about a foot of rain to the lake in September 2010. We are expecting even more rain the next few weeks.

Construction of the 38,000-square-foot Whole Foods Market at the Galleria in Bee Cave is in full swing and is expected to open in late spring or early summer of 2012. Rebecca Scofield, Austin media and community relations for Whole Foods Market, said the store will be slightly larger than the average Whole Foods.
